I think I have read all these points here many many times, Its one of those frustrating things about our friend Fox.

in refrence to the above point, I find it interesting that in the PreBeta release I picked up a devcon 2000 the command buttons could take of the background color property, when you had I think it was hot tracking option on.. (might have been flat style) I loved the nature of it, commented to Mike of Microsoft, that I was hoping that that 'feature' however undocumented would stay there for the final release. I was assured that it was there by design and would stay.... now all of us who have the VFP7 know that MS had another idea... and took out the 'feature' for the final release.
So I dont think its something that would take a great deal of effort to add, but its a feature that Breaks the windows API- or GUI standards, and thus, I dont think we will ever see it as an 'option'

I just have to remember, that decisions about some of the features of any MS product has to take into account the entire direction of the MS tools, and remain standard across development tools or some such nonsense.


Bring on the colored buttons I say... Bring them on. Let us mess up the MS GUI standards, We are not kids, if we want to have our apps look like something generate by java, or Delphi or CA-VA or Dbase2000 or TCL why cant we ?
