I didn't say anything about the Windows standard for GUI implementation, just offering you a method of accomplishing what you piss and moan about within the capacities of the product today. I'm not getting into the fact that you're at variance with the set of guidelines nominally agreed to by and for Windows development, just that they is a way to do what you want today with standard tools supported by VFP today. This goes back to VFP 5 and 6 as well.

But, hey, I'd rather make things work now than bitch and moan about meaningless features I want to please my sense of aesthetics (or total lack thereof.) YMMV.

>>>in refrence to the above point, I find it interesting that in the PreBeta release I picked up a devcon 2000 the command buttons could take of the background color property, when you had I think it was hot tracking option on.. (might have been flat style) I loved the nature of it, commented to Mike of Microsoft, that I was hoping that that 'feature' however undocumented would stay there for the final release. I was assured that it was there by design and would stay.... now all of us who have the VFP7 know that MS had another idea... and took out the 'feature' for the final release.
