Okay Frank I have examine your XML file everything is ok with it looks like a problem with VFP if you take the first 10 fields or the last 12 fields from the XML VFP will give you an error saying syntax error if you only remove the first 9 or the last 11 VFP will crash if you remove the first 11 or the last 13 fields the XMLTOCURSOR works fine.
So this seems to be an VFP 7 bug is better that you report it to Microsoft.

I can't tell you the error because I loaded MDAC 2.7 to see if it would correct the problem. Now VFP crashes when I try xmlToCursor on this string. I have many other cursors that work fine going between cursorToXML and xmlToCursor. I don't know how to put the file up here for you to see.
