>Put me on the list of voting to have VFP for Linux also. That IS the reason I was forced to learn Delphi and while Delphi has MANY great features, I prefer to work with VFP and having the ability to port apps to LINUX would be great! Plus switching between Delphi and VFP regularly is not as simple as VB/VFP!

Tracy,
Since I didn't user Delphi professionally, and only took a quick glance at it, I want your opinion on the following.
From a very theoretical standpoint, and a superficial look, it seemed to me that Delphi was, in many respects, superior to VFP. Yet, you prefer VFP. Why? What features are available in VFP that are NOT available in VFP?
Please note that a) I do like VFP a lot, and this message is not meant to be an attack on VFP, b) I really don't have enough information to do a decent comparison myself.
Hilmar.
