This is where PHP really shines. People are using it for a lot of things lately but when it comes to creating dynamic web pages from a database (mySQL is a great pick) its one of the best.

There are a lot of free resouces out there right now you can use to get ramped up on PHP, and PHP in itself is very similiar to C, but like VFP it handles all your memory for you (so don't worry you don't have to declare all your variables). It is a very simple language but is extremely powerful.

The language is created by an Open Source Community, but don't let that turn you off, you can create anything with it and turn around and charge for it, or the service it creates.

In truth you could also try AFP (active foxpro pages). From what I understand it does virtually the same thing, but I'm not aware of the speed differences, and for web services I prefer something that is APACHE friendly. (AFP may be, but I'm not sure).

Some good links for PHP are:

If you have any specific questions I'd be glad to answer them. You can just PM me if you like.
