BTW, here is an update on this long thread.

I finally caught him around 5pm (10 minutes before I leave). I briefly explained all the complications and we decided to leave everything as it is. Basically, table structure changes are allowed to be made only by certain users (with administrative rights), so they would be run on specific machines only. These computers should be configured appropriatelly...
