>Just to clarify, if you have any middle-tier services running on the NT server that interface with the front-end app and the Oracle database, these components can not be run in the Unix environment. You would have to move these middle-tier components to either the client or to a Windows Server OS. You could then handle the connectivity to Oracle strictly from that middle tier. Then you do not have to have the Oracle client installed on every workstation. You would only need the Oracle client installed on the NT/Win2k server.
