I have a client who is "updating" his equipment from networked (peer-to-peer) PCs to a remote (!) Citrix server, sitting over a central data server, running local dumb terminals. He is running several of my VFP 5 applications (with a common database) on his current machines.

I know nothing about Citrix servers. I anticipate problems from (a) speed of data /screen retrieval to users with remote access; (b) memory problems on Citrix Server with multiple users running VFP; (c) unforseen other problems.

Can anyone give me ideas about what I should be looking for? And what actions I should be taking?

Applications will be recompiled in VFP 6 SP4 (we don't appear to be able to get VFP7 in the UK); and partial rewrites are also on the cards for other reasons.

TIA

Mike
