Too bad we do not have the interest in the San Jose Symphony (founded in 1879) that symphonies in other cities enjoy. We may have too many millionaires in Silicon Valley without time for such things. Our symphony declared bankruptcy (it is not a .COM) and is attempting to restructure. Hopefully they will open in February and resolve the financial issues that face them. Perhaps not too many people can afford tickets these days.

Would you believe you can a find a house or apartment to rent in Silicon Valley? There are signs up everywhere and advertise “bonuses” for moving in! This is so different from even one year ago. Times change but greed is greed.

Just drove down a stretch of road in Santa Clara, about half a mile long (Kifer Road/Walsh Road). Six major companies are gone and the buildings are for lease. None of these were .COM’ers. Think I will journey around a bit more this weekend to see how wide spread this is. Things are not too good out our way.
