Folks, if you do this, please be sure to provide a way for the user to simply use the Windows color scheme. Apps that insist that I have to pick one of their schemes drive me crazy.

Also, since Microsoft has already done the hard work of providing a tool for setting all the different colors and storing them somewhere, I'm not sure I see the point of duplicating that in your apps. It's easy to extract colors from the existing Windows color scheme in order to highlight particular elements in the interface. You don't have to hard color in order to do something non-standard.
