Growth in the Austin-San Antonio corridor is going beserk and our area is one of those "highly desirable" areas to build in, far enough out that it is "rural' but close enough in for a comfortable commute.

>>When I grew up in San Francisco, the population was about 150,000 greater than it is today. There were over 90,000 kids in public school and now less than 60,000. This may have something to do with an element of society that lives in said city, that is not known for procreation but rather other activities. Gee –sometimes I can be nice – I wanted to use another term but children may be reading this. I should not worry about children as they probably know more than I do about certain topics.

Doug;

Funny thing… when I was a kid, we had three grocery stores within one half block of our house. My dad would drive that half block to go to the grocery store. Today you are happy to find a parking place anywhere in San Francisco (no easy task!), even though the population is less.

Tom
