In reality though, one terminal server box is only going to be able to maintain a certain number of concurrent users of your application - with this in mind, come up with a number you think a server can handle, and make the charge based on this. Then charge a monthly maintenance fee like Mark suggested.

Unfortunately (again, sorry to bring you guys down), my app is on a file server accessed "via" several Citrix server. I can't licence each Citrix server because I don't run on these, I run on a non-Citrix server, so they could plug several Citrix server from several countries on that unique server. Knowing this doesn't facilitate the pricing.

On the other hand, they told me they would accept a licencing similar to Citrix which is 20 concurrent amoung 35 seats. If I do the same, I limit the seats to 35 and validate 20 concurent (thanks Mark for your ideas, I had a similar approach in mind, but didn't think about the nagging...good!), I keep a certain control.

I will probably propose this (20 among 35), but I still need pricing reference. Are there any high end app (like Autocad) that sell concurent and seat so I can compare.

By the way, it's not a potential client but an actual client wich is using our app locally (paid by seat) AND on Citrix (asking for concurrent).
