My first post only inluded IE. Here is a Correction: If you mean IE: View, toolbars, customize. At bottom is where you select the icon size on your toolbar.
If you mean explorer: select the view button on the toolbar and click on details. Then go to tools, folder options, and choose the view tab. ON the view tab in foler views, click on 'like current folder' and then all of your explore windows in the future will match this view setting.
