Thank you very much for the solution. My problem is the process Idle Time has to be checked through the component. In which case we need to get a particular process that is Idle(thro' the process ID). This information is passed to the component as a parameter, the component compares this with a constant Timeout value. If the the specified process is Idle and is greater than the Timeout value then the application needs to be closed.

Can this be implemented in VB Basic? Also please let me know what could be the probable constraits.

If yes, could you please let me know the solution. If No why? what is the alternative.

I kind of worked around using the API GetQueueStatus. But it doesn't work when a child form is invoked through the parent form.

Please let me know your suggestions of solutions.
