WinZip, by Nico Mak computing, can be run crudely with the RUN! command. It has some command line switches like those of good ol' PkZip, but not for all its functions. They are documented on their web site, not in the help menu, and are evidently an afterthought. I don't think the switches properly support disk spanning. This may have improved with version 6.3. The only reason to use such a thing from inside vfp is if you cannot afford DynaZip. PkZip for Windows, made by PkWare, is similar to WinZip. It has no command line switches. We rejected it because it failed to span disks properly when zipping a single huge file. PKWare also sells a compression library which is not .ZIP compatible, which I find very odd. I don't know if this library can be used with VFP. They provide no .OCX.
