I had a similar problem with 97 Word Automation.

Use the odbc driver that comes with the 97 Standard office version and you will be able to access the foxpro tables. I have an application which only uses Word for all the reports(Mgmt continues to want to make changes to the letters, invoices etc, so I used Word which they can easily edit.) I developed it using Word 2000 and it wouldn't work at the clients office since they used Word 97. I had to install the odbc drivers that came with the 97 standard office installation disks and it works fine.

Hope this helps

>You can download the latest VFP ODBC driver from http://msdn.microsoft.com/vfoxpro/downloads/odbc.asp.
