The firewall guys claim that all ports are open right now and I don't know of any way to verify this.

Also, back when I set this application up originally, it seemed like the ports change randomly due to Oracle being run on an NT platform (even though the TNSNAMES.ORA config file specifies 1521), and I think we ended up opening a block of ports.

It was also my previous experience that whenever I could get SQLPLUS to work, the VFP ODBC connection would work as well. What is unique about VFP that this firewall is handling it different then other apps?
