> We' been running FPW2.6a for years. Follow Al Doman's advice. We've run every OS to XP and haven't had a single problem except that the DOS Start /wait command in Win2K operates differently. Heck, We're still running Netware 3.11! Nary a problem.<<
Do any of your app require a large (150+) number of files to be open? Curious as to how you get around the file handles proble. The well know KB fix for windows ME, for example, using PerVMFile= in the ini file doesn't work for FPW, as they now acknowledge, and as far as I know the ME fix promised has not yet been issued by MS.
Any hints for resolving file handle problems on ME or XP?
( mostly for my own benefit so I can use my own machines to do some tweaks required for 2.6 apps while I convert them to 6.0 and don't have to maintain a 98 box)

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
