I have been asked to run a VFP program as a Service and am not sure what this means.

The VFP APP is a Poller and just polls a group of files and creates another file for transmitting to another site. It is running fine in the backkground currently but my understanding of the requirement is that it is auomatically loaded at the server at startup and stays running permanently.
It sounds to me that this is a 'Batch' file which is started when the server starts.

Can this be done and is that what a 'Serveice' is ??
