There's MAPI, CDONTs, SMTP itself, lots of things, including loads of 3rd party ActiveX controls.


I cant agree more with what you said, As a programmer, you do have the choice of tools, and picking Outlook to send out automated emails, is the wosrt choice of automatic email applications out there. It just so happens that that VFP was developed by the MS machine, and so our help files show us how to use another MS product to do something that they M$ doesnt have a better solution for.
Automation of Emails, is and should be thought of a server.
smtp itself, or some active x control, all work great for this sort of task.
