The Tmpfiles directory exists. I did find out one more thing though, even though all machines have the same shortcut, and all machines have a CONFIG.FPW that is being pointed to, on the XP full load machine in question, SYS(2019) indicates that no CONFIG.FPW is being loaded. So that is my problem, the question is why? It appears that if you load XP with a reformat rather than an upgrade some dll is not loaded that causes foxpro not to use the CONFIG.FPW. What could that be?????
