1> I'm running SqlServer 6.5 on Windows NT4.0.I had a corrupt database on my server which I dropped.I decided to
reinstall SqlServer and so I uninstalled it and then deleted the SqlServer directory. But when I reinstalled it It did not
add any program groups/items to the Start Menu nor did it run properly.I had to delete it again and remove all
SqlServer keys from the NT registry after which the new installtion worked properly. Is this a bug or Iam I missing
something?

2> I have a transaction log which is on a separate device of 1 GB.It shows that it has 400 MB space available
even after I truncate/dump the transaction log.Where's the 600 MB of space that should be freed.I have the
'Truncate log on checkpoint' checkbox option selected in the database .
