I had a thought while I was at lunch... Can I setup the new PC to run two separate operating systems? Maybe a dual-boot with XP Home and W98?

>I'm buying my girlfriend a new PC and it will come with XP Home pre-installed. Is there any way for my to know whether her 4 year old daughter's CD games will work? (Barbie, My Little Pony, Winnie the Pooh, etc.) I know the whole thing about upgrading software to match the OS or don't upgrade the OS, but what I really want to know is there any way to know if there might be video/memory problems? Is there something incredibly techie I can do/check to get some idea? I want her to have the PC without having to uninstall the OS and reinstall an older one (which I probably wouldn't do as it will likely cause hardware/drive issues) but her daughter will not understand if her stuff won't work. Thanks!
