What is the business case for Public Web services?
Meaning: How is Public Web services going to contribute to my sales bottom line?
If Public Web services does / can not contribute to me meeting my business requirements that generate either greater customer satisfaction or money for the business then its vaporware. Meaning a cute idea with some small application but I cannot make money with it. However, with a private Web service there is a chance. Then the next question is what web services would people be willing to pay for. I recommend Start looking at the Porn industry and how they are applying web services for leads. You may not like the Porn industry but they are very creative at getting people to pay for pictures, video, etc.
