I think you mean the .scx file, not the .vcx file. A .vcx file is a class library and a .scx file is a screen file.

Anyway, the .scx file is just a standard .dbf file containing the forms layout and properties and so forth. You can open this file using the USE command and include the .scx extention. If this file is corrupted then you will need to get a DBF file repair utility to try and salvage what you can from it. Search the UT FAQ for a utility.
