>>With a little vision, amazing things start to unfold. Thats why .NET has always been labeled an intiative rather than a technology. THe intiative is to do these new things with this old (relatively speaking) HTTP protocol.

Or just another idealistic young dreamer :

"Lets imgaine a world where nearly every family will have a PC and every family has a televsion or two. Lets also imgaine a world where everyone has a cell phone and half the people have a palm device or a tablet device. Not to mention, the internet ready kitchen appliances, home stereos, picture frames, ebook readers, DVD players, game consoles and toilets. Well, maybe not toliets, but someone will try and sell it."

I would like to imagine a world where everyone has a house to live in, sufficient food to eat, clean water to drink & hygenic toilet facilities but those things aren't going to happen in the lifetime of any of us or our children, let alone his dreams of PCs, multiple televisions etc. Much of the Third world doesn't have access to electricity, how are these people going to take advantage of these great ideas.

People with insight & vision, had similar visions back in the 60's & long before & look where we are now, over 40 years on. Or maybe Mike's idea of the world doesn't extend past the borders of the USA.

(Some of us in our forties & fifties, seem to have heard all the wonderful things technology is going to do for us several times before & just gotten a little cynical).
