What kind of printer are you using? I think he assumed you are using an HP Laserjet Printer, or compatible, which uses PCL (HP's printer command language).

chr(27) is the escape code, used to start command to the printer. Esc-E resets the printer. The other commands are supposed set the orientation (although I didn't actually verify if they are correct).



>Please excuse my ignorance but I'm not sure what that code is supposed to do. I tried it and it didn't do anything. I don't understand what "E" and "I1O" represent. I appreciate the help but I'm a bit confused.
