In the old time world of 2.x there is a directory goodies/pddrivers/p_codes.dbf that was used to handle different printer escape sequences. The use of this system is far too long and involved to get into here for lack of time and space. You can find some direction on using this stuff in the samples and also in the help for 2.x foxpro. However, you would have to update the escape code information for printers to be used since most of the printers listed in that file are long gone from the market. You can get an idea of the information needed to drive a printer and you may find that the prgs used rely on some calls to the driver used with that system.
Lots of luck -- my memory is way gone on this subject I just remember I had to convert some material run on a post script printer at one clients and had to make up my own escape codes to send to the printer. You call the pdiver.dbf values from various fields like "Bold" "Caps" "Font" etc.
