Yes, I am familiar with the performance issue involving virus scanning software. But I think there may have been another issue that involved Win98 workstations connected to a Win2K server. The more users that logged on, the worse the performance (so slow that my app in this situation is essentially unusable.)

I have a few users who experience this problem, and last I heard, Microsoft said the only solution for programmers running into this situation, was to re-write code so it opens and closes tables less frequently and does not use _FLUSH
alot.
