>I've found that I can't put in the 16-18 hour work days that I used to. I tire more easily but I'm not sleepy. I'll turn on the TV, telling my wife that it's time to "dumb down".....it serves me as a very good sleeping pill! A fifteen minute show stretched to thirty minutes by fifteen minutes of commercials. z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z
At least our TV isn't that bad yet, we have a surfeit of dumb programs, but on our commercial channels, we're limited to 4 x 3 minute commercial breaks in an hours viewing - often less in longer programs. And we've still got the BBC - no commercial breaks at all.
Some of the dumbest programs we get seem worse than the dumbest of yours we get to see, but thats possibly because our TV channels don't buy the really bad ones. Lately some US programs outclass the best of the current British ones eg The Sopranos - I can get all the way through that without dozing off.
