Hi Evan,

>When I attempt to install VFP7 on a NT4 Build 1381 SP6 workstation with IE5.X, I get an error that XML Parser version 3 can not be installed during the component update. Manually trying to installing version 3 of the parser fails as well. If I download and install the MS XML Parser version 4, then VFP7 component update process does not recognize it (still looking for version 3 I assume).

I saw this 2 weeks ago when I tried to install VFP7 on my bosses laptop. It failed at the XML Parser as well. Win2K Prof with IE5.5 (all latest sp) installed. That system was infected by a virus (Mental note: Never give your manager/boss (local) administrator right again, so that he "by accident" disables the anti-virus software) and had some other errors afterwards so I blamed that for the faillure.

>The workaround is to install IE6, which then allows the VFP7 install to proceed.

I'll try that one and see if it works.

Frank Camp
