In this case, the exe is running locally (on each Win98 wstation) while accessing data on the Win2k server. Performance for 1st user opening the app is a-ok, as each subsequent user opens the app and accesses data from the server, performance drops off the table (from seconds between screens, to minutes.)

I think thread #433098 referred to this (at least part of it did.)

Here is some other background info on the setup:

-Server and all machines are rebooted each day.
-DBC is packed each day, all indexes rebuilt.
-NAV installed on some machines, but not running.
-Opportunistic Locking doesn't seem to be an issue since it is not a feature on Win98 wstations
-Server is not running as DNS
-VFP SP3 is installed
-Swapped out brand new 98 machines, problem persists
