If this concerns the IDE and not an app that you built then you need to use "vfp7esn.dll" (note the missing "r" after "vfp7"). You should find this file - if you have it - in the folder where your VFP7.EXE resides. To see what you have got type
dir home()+"vfp7*.dll"
Strangely enough, the VFP IDE does indeed fail to report an error if the resource file you specify is missing or not the right type. It also fails to report the reason why it refuses to use a valid resource file that you specify; I just tried the Korean and Chinese thingies that I found in my VFP7 folder and the VFP IDE came up in English (and in English probably only because I replaced VFP7DEU.DLL with a copy of VFP7ENU.DLL; simply deleting VFP7DEU.DLL did not help since of Win2K's System File Confusion utility or whatsitcalled kept starting the VFP7 installer when VFP7DEU.DLL was not there. Sigh.)
