>I've just started with MM and am following along with the manual. Did I miss a step or is it true that the msgsvc.dbf is not added to a new project? Is there a reason for this? I know some of my clients would want different messages so I should copy the msgsvc.dbf to the apps include directory, right? What else would I have to set?

Msgsvc is normally included in the root level of your distribution directory. I sometimes make a copy of it and put it in my data directory and include it in my database. Once you set your development path with startmm, the application will know where to find it. You don't want to put it in your apps include directory unless you intend to compile the table into your application. Most of the time it is excluded and is a free table. You could just pop it into you data directory as a free table, but the best place for it would be on each user's local drive.
Hope that helps
