My last trip to Colombia he and I went to his father's farm in a 1949 Willy's Jeep and picked our own beans. He showed me how to pick them and what to look for. Then we husked them and washed them. We dried them in the sun for a week and took them back to his lab where we hand-picked only the best beans. After that we roasted them and ground them in his lab. I brought back a suitcase stuffed with coffee. The aroma was so delicious people stopped me in the airport asking me if I could have a sample. There is no question that this is the best coffee I'll ever get.

Looks like regular trips to SA, eh? I told my wife this story and she said her next husband will be Columbian... :)
