Mike,
I don't think this technique will allow you to include an attachment. But the real answer is 'I don't know!'. Likewise, I'm not sure of the mechanism that allows ShellExec() to recognize 'mailto' as a request to start your default email application. I do know that this technique works for other email systems including Outlook Express, Pegasus, Eudora, Lotus Notes, etc.
HTH!

>Thanks for that, seems to work fine. Any ideas on how to include an attachment ? Also do you have any idea why this works ? I mean I thought ShellExecute was to run another application, so obviously I guess when it attempts to run an app called "Mailto" the e-mail gets created ? I just dont understand why this happens, does anyone know will this work with more than outlook?
