Hi!

Be sure only that your form and form inside it are not modal.

I do not know.
>I've also run into another problem related to scrollbars. If I am using tooltips and have a tooltip set up for a control which is not visible unless the form is scrolled, when I try to get the tooltip for that particular control, I get no tooltip at all or the tooltip of the control that was visible on that area of the screen before the form was scrolled. Is there a workaround for this behavior?

This is a known issue. You can try to use custom tool tip control, for example, Fancy ToolTip from downloads section here (it comes for free with source code).

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
