Our client has been running a VFP 5.0 application satisfactorily for years. She just got a new workstation:
Dell dimension 4300 running at 1.8 GHz, with 128MB RAM.

Her loading time to get into the patient screen had become about 3 min. Connections are made to a SYBASE SQL anywhere DB during this time. Her old workstation still in on the network and still performs as normal. I had done some on-site modifications for her and recompiled on their system and the speed came back to normal. I made some further modifications to the system and recompiled on our server and sent her the new exe and the slow loading behavior returned. Recompiling on our client's system brought the app back up to speed.
Does anyone know what may be causing this? It's going to add extra time for us to recompile the application on her server and not ours.

Also a similar thing is happening that may have a similar root cause. We have a VFP 6.0 app that ties into an AccPac Pro (formerly SBT) accounting package. A very large SQL SELECT statement was running fine on the client's NT 4.0 server. The client migrated the system to a new Win2K server and this code takes much longer to run now. Strange???

Thanks in advance for any help.
