Hi all,

Our VFP apps used to successfully open up Excel using the CreateObject() function. However, when the IT guys at our client installed a backup software in the same server where our apps were installed, we started having problems with Excel using CreateObject(). I assumed that this is DLL hell happening.

I've tried reinstalling MDAC 2.6; reinstalled our App using the InstallShield with the VFP7, DCOM, NT/98 Ole, MDAC26, MS Common Controls & MSXML modules (MSM). Reinstalled NT SP6. Reinstalled Office. Though not in the particular order as listed.

Still, the problem exists! Any suggestions?

Configuration as follows:
Windows NT 4 TSE 
Windows NT SP 6
Citrix Metaframe 1.8
Office 97
VFP V6 installed
VFP 7 runtimes installed (after the problem occured)
Tivoli 2000 Backup (caused the problem)
