I have not read the whole thread so I am tempting fate commenting at this stage <s>. However, if this problem is from a Foxpro report, I had a similar problem a few years ago. The way I solved my problem was as follows :-

Open the problem report(s) (MODI REPORT).

Ctrl+S (Select All) to select all items on the report canvas.

Go to the "Format" Menu and select the "Mode" sub-menu. Select the "Transparent" option and then save the report.

Re-run it and see how you go.

Be sure that you set the items to transparent whilst they are all "selected".
