I was thrilled to be quoted in the 'VFP vs Access' article. Now that 400,000 record file is 5.7 million records (and growing by 100K a day)in size and is located on a Novell 4 server. I have a Pentium 166, 16 meg RAM PC and FoxPro now finds any occurence of a telephone number in .6 of a second. I am still going to use VFP until this thing slows down which doesn't appear to be happening any time soon. Everyone at my workplace is absolutely amazed at this. The majority of them use Access and have seen it choke at around 30K of records. I think I can see traces of envy in these users when FoxPro returns the phone no. they're looking for so quickly.
