Not only was that interesting but it also shed light on the revenge of the Irish, years later, on the Spanish tongue. When they started moving in on the Spanish descendents in Southern California they watched the regal vaqueros who were one with their horses, and, either just really incapable of pronouncing sounds outside of their own rolling tongue or just plain drunk called them 'Buckeroos.'
