'I heard the news today, oh boy...'

Turned on the tube,
first word I heard
a past tense verb
and waited for who.

He was lucky, he knew it was coming. He had time to say I love you, goodbye to everyone who loved him. I hope I'm so lucky that I have that time. And not some out-the-door-to-the-supermarket-sudden-death.

I think for me it's also a reminder of mortality and I better start paying attention and behave better...
