Greetings from fellow Malaysian. VFP is a great tool to choose from. We do use Cryptor to encrypt database to prevent unauthorized users from accessing the database using other app like ms office etc.. We have running the add-on libr with VFP5 and 6 and there is no reported serious bugs. Anyway maybe u should let us know what ur intended project needs are so that others or myself can help.

Since VFP7 has methods available for allowing approriate users to access the tables, u may choose this route with the added free downloadable "cipher". I can't recall whether cryptor comes with an evaluation copy.

I hope u will make a right decision on the tool u will choose.
