My colleague just told me, what she've seen this weird behavior before. Too bad, I'm already re-installing. Anyway, here is the cause. In the command window I have these lines:
cd ..\batchcntrl
modi proj batchcntrl
I highlight them both and hit enter. Then I experience this weird and very annoying behavior. Seems like VFP bug. Interesting, is it still a problem in VFP7.0? If I do it line by line, this problem did not appear...

This cost me several hours of frustration...
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
