Please note that in some cases, it might be preferable to do a codepage conversion. For instance, when printing in text-mode on a dot-matrix printer, accented characters don't get printed correctly, but after converting from Windows to DOS, they do. Or you may want to otherwise display information correctly in DOS, Macintosh, etc. Check cpconvert() for codepage conversion.
