Here's my situation:

I have 2 W2K professional machines setup. Both have the following:

-W2K SP2
-IIS5
-MDAC 2.7
-VFP 7
-MSSoap Toolkit from VFP7 CD
-IE 6
-IE Security updates

I've created a web service and I'm running the same web service on both machines. From a development environment, both the DLL and the web service work great.

I've compiled an application that utilizes the web service on both machines (with 2 buttons on a form). The code to access each is identical, with the exception of the IP addresses. The app runs fine on both servers.

Then I take the app to a Win98 machine. The first test works, the other does not. FWIW, the machine that works is my workstation; the one that does not is a clean install of W2K server.

Any ideas? Perhaps I'm missing a patch on the clean install. Or maybe I installed them in a different order? Or it could be a security setting, though I can access the clean install from my workstation.

The error I'm getting is: OLE error code 0x80004005. Unspecified error
