Thank you. What seems to actually have worked was using both your idea and Sergey's idea (using the STYLE "T" parameter after the @ ... SAY lines). Either alone didn't do the trick. An odd problem, but I thank you and everyone else who responded to my dilemma. I think I'm able to move forward now. I will add the caveat that it all SEEMS to work :) I may be back revisiting this if I've overlooked something else.
