I've been following this threadup closely and have drawn one conclusion from what you've said about VB6 versus VB.Net. If I've followed this correctly, one thing that anyone should do when trying VB.Net is to sit down and closely RTFM. This might apply even more so to someone like myself who is familiar with VB, but hasn't as yet looked at .Net. I'm getting the feeling from what you've said that, if one is not careful, one could easily make some erroneous assumptions.
