The default action for clicking the mouse in a DOS window under Win2K is to enter Select mode (this is the opposite from Win9x). You use select mode to select, copy, and paste from the DOS window image. When you click in the DOS window does the window's title bar change? You can turn this off in the properties for the command prompt by unchecking "QuickEdit mode" on the Options tab.
